HOW TO INSTALL YOUR WIRE WALL ART
When ordering your wire words or art, you will need to choose which installation method you would like your order to be made in.
floating effect
This is definitely our favourite installation method, it gives a magical floating effect with a lovely shadow that changes through the day.
You will need:
- 2mm or 3 mm drill bit (this depends on the thickness of the wire, each product description confirms which thickness your piece is made in)
- Pencil
- Spirit level
- Spare set of eyes and hands
Simply measure and hold your piece against the wall, using a pencil mark a dot where the wire prongs meet the wall. Drill your marked dots and insert each wire end into the wall. Your piece should stand about 0.5cm to 1cm off the wall leaving you with that magical floating effect, with no visible fixings.
You can alter the size of the shadow by how much the wire ends are pushed in.
flat effect
With this option you can use fixings to attach your piece to the wall, like clear hooks or nails. We recommend clear command hooks for a damage free option, available as an ‘Add on’ in our shop.
Alternatively you can balance your wire piece on a shelve and no fixings are needed.
